Minor Setback

Even after getting nine hours of sleep, I soooo did not want to get up today. I got to sleep in until seven since my husband has a doctor’s appointment (which means only half a day at work-woot!). I still made it to the gym though which is really huge for me (normally I give in and just go back to sleep)! I even decided to increase my resistance today.

Today’s exercise:
60 minutes (+ 3 min cool down)
Elliptical/Stepper Combo Machine
Interval Program (resistance 2,5)
750 Calories Burned
4 ½ miles

I was a bit disappointed today because I gained back a pound. I know that what I ate yesterday was a bit heavy on sodium, so I’m gonna guess I’m experiencing a little water retention. That’s okay though, I’m pushing on!

Remember I said I’m going to be eating crap this week? Well, keep that in mind with my food list!

Breakfast:
Cinnamon Raisin English Muffin with 1 Tbsp grape jelly
Lunch:
Turkey & Ham Sandwich on wheat bread (but enriched, ick) with 2 pieces of cheese (damn!) and 1 Tbsp honey dijon (only 10 calories-score!)
1/2 cup of canned pears
Afternoon Snack:
Strawberry/Banana Yogurt
Dinner (this is baaaaad):
Baked Porkchops w/ 2 Tbsp. Heinz 57
2 cups green been casserole (yeah, can’t even try to justify this!)

The worst part is, I drank a 20 oz. Mountain Dew which has 2-9-0 calories. Are you kidding? That’s a whole meal! Okay, no more of that. BUT, I have to point out that I generally have way more of the green bean casserole (my kids are young and don’t eat much so there’s always a ton leftover). I sometimes pick at it all night long. So I didn’t do that which is a step in the right direction I think!!

I also found out that the Venti Mocha Frapp I love so much has 500 calories. The Tall is 280 I think though so in the future I’ll stick with that for a monthly treat!
